The large-scaled, professional media production plant of BasalMedia is specifically designed by professional design institutes based on bio-pharmaceutical standards and strictly follows the GMP standard for construction, renovation and management. This production facility is located at No. 1569, Lanfeng Road, Fengxian Park, Zhangjiang High-tech Zone, Shanghai. It covers an area of 20 acres and has a construction area of 22,516 m2. The first phase of the facility that is specialized in the production of culture media has an area of 8000 m2. BasalMedia is in leading position in China’s media production. With advanced production equipment and analyzing instruments as well as validated production techniques and processes, BasalMedia could supply bio-pharmaceutical companies with more professional and stable media products, personalized products from customized services and all-sided technical support with a production scale of 500 kg/batch for powder media, 1000 L/batch for liquid media, 2800 bottles/batch for microbial media and 10,000 plates/batch for microbial prefilled plate media.
The production of BasalMedia powder media, liquid media and prefilled plate media as well as the pilot productions in outsourced facilities are all produced in GMP clean facilities. BasalMedia has built a 5000 m2 clean facility which is divided into 27 sets of HVAC systems operating individually, 16 of all are used for production with 3 sets listed as C+B level, 2 sets listed as D level and the rest are listed as C level. All sets are validated and verified.
